Winona M. Clouse, 87, of Middlebury, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, April 27, at their residence. She was born on September 30, 1934 in Harrisville, OH, to Vincent and Eleanor Krenke. On September 22, 1956 in Harrisville, OH she married David W. Clouse, he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband are son, David D. Clouse of Chapin, SC; daughter, Jennifer (Dexter) Crocker of Elkhart; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Krenke of Stratford, CT, Lee (Charlene) Krenke of Pittsburgh, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Nancy C. Clouse and Barbara Ann Stevens; and a brother, Wayne Krenke. Winona was a graduate of Beaver High School in Pennsylvania and became a registered nurse working at Elkhart General Hospital, in the surgery unit, for a combined 30 years. She and her husband wintered in Florida for 12 years. She enjoyed quilting and eating fresh strawberries and tomatoes straight from the family garden. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the 1:00 pm funeral service on Thursday, May 5, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Goshen. Services will be conducted by Pastor Andrew Wollman. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart. Memorials may be given to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
