Samuel “Sam” Jr. Mast, 75, of Millersburg, died at 12:45 am on Tuesday, August 31 at his residence. He was born on January 3, 1946, in Middlebury, to Sam A. and Susie (Bontrager) Mast. On December 14, 1967, in Topeka, he married Gertie E. Miller, she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are six sons, Larry Jay (Nettie) Mast of Shipshewana, Earl Dean (Regina) Mast of Topeka, Calvin (Beth) Mast of Willow Springs, MO, Stephen Ray (Ida) Mast of Millersburg, Willie (Cheryl) Mast of Goshen, David (Doretta) Mast of Millersburg; three daughters, Linda (Alvin) Miller of LaGrange, LeAnna Daniels of Topeka, Margaret Fern (Lamar) Miller of Ligonier; 58 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joni (Anna Belle) Mast of Goshen, Perry (Erma) Mast, Ervin (Ruby) Mast both of Middlebury. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Saloma Mast; foster sister, Lucy Ann Miller; great-grandson, Lyndon Jon Troyer. Sam was a farmer and a bishop in the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 2 and all day Friday, September 3 at the family’s residence, 9350 W. 500 S., Millersburg. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Saturday, September 4 also at the family’s residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop LaVern Lambright and the home ministers. Burial will be in Bontrager Cemetery, Shipshewana.
