Rosemary “Rosie” "Jukie" Kirkdorffer, 71, of Middlebury, died at 3:49 pm on Saturday, October 2 at her residence. She was born on October 10, 1949, in West Virginia, to Buck and Mary (Petry) Grose. On June 10, 1978, in Elkhart, she married Gary Kirkdorffer, he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband are daughter, Hannah Oxford of Middlebury; grandson, Flynn Wiedman; brother, Charlie (Rhonda) Ransom of Bristol; sister-in-law, Lina "Sarah" Grose of FL; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Larry and Donald Grose. Rosemary was a member of Living Stones Ministries for 35+ years. She had worked at Keene Products, as a receptionist at Jayco, a doctor’s office, at the Elkhart County Health Department, and retired from the Elkhart County Courts. Rosemary had a servant's heart and would often volunteer at nursing homes taking care of her friends. She was responsible for bringing in the birdfeeders and seed at Kindred Nursing Home in Elkhart. She also enjoyed singing and a nice hot cup of coffee in the morning in her sunroom. Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 6 followed by a 1:00 pm funeral service at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street, Middlebury. Services will be conducted by Pastors Ray Caples and David Garty. Burial will be in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury. Memorials may be given to the Living Stones Ministries Building Fund.
