Mary D. Miller, 79, of Goshen, formerly of Middlebury, passed away at 11:29 am on Wednesday, January 12, at Courtyard of Goshen. She had been in declining health the past two years from complications of chronic health issues. She was born on January 7, 1943 in LaGrange County to Daniel L. and Edna (Bontrager) Weaver. On January 16, 1965 in Bristol, she married Clemens Miller, Jr., he died January 16, 2002. Surviving are two sons, Delbert (Kit) Miller of Constantine, MI, and Dewayne (Michelle) Miller of Goshen; a stepdaughter; two stepsons; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, David (Ann) Weaver of Goshen, Levi (Sharon) Weaver of Union, MI, John Weaver of Elkhart; She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a stepson; two brothers, Daniel and Ervin Weaver. Mary had been a homemaker; owner-operator of Miller Country Kitchen for 12 1/2 years and a taxi driver for the Amish. She had been a member of Brenneman Missionary Church and was a passionate lover of all animals. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Due to the escalating pandemic and concerns for everyone’s health, the family will be holding private services. Burial will be in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury. Anyone who wishes to honor Mary’s love for animals may make a memorial contribution to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
