Mabel June Miller, 82, of Shipshewana, died at 4:20 am, on Monday, July 19, at her residence. She was born on December 15, 1938, in Kalona, IA, to Harvey and Katie Mae (Miller) Helmuth. On December 11, 1958 in Nappanee she married Jonas O. Miller, he died June 24, 2013. Surviving are two daughters, Darlene (Vernon) Miller of Shipshewana and Miriam (Dennis) Miller of Tuscola, IL; three sons, Galen (Rosanna) Miller of Millersburg, Marion (Ruby) Miller of LaGrange, Floyd (Julia) Miller of Milford; 30 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; two brothers, Emil (Edna) Helmuth of Rushsylvania, OH and Olin (Alma) Helmuth of Shipshewana; a sister, Ruby Yoder of Archbold, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two grandsons, Joas Lynn Miller and Matthew Jon Miller; a brother, Leo Helmuth; a sister, Marie Miller and a brother-in-law, William R. Miller. Mabel was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm Tuesday July 20, and all day Wednesday July 21, at family’s residence, 1080 N. 1100 W. Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Thursday July 22, at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Ernie Troyer and the home ministers. Burial will be in Forks Cemetery, Middlebury.
