Lorraine Miller, 78, of Cassopolis, MI, formerly of Goshen, passed away at 3:45 pm, on Thursday, July 15, at Spectrum Health Lakeland, St. Joseph, MI; with her family by her side. She had been in declining health with a brief illness. She was born on March 28, 1943 in Goshen to Menno J. and Sarah (Borkholder) Miller. Surviving are two sons, Stewart (Mary Ruth) Hochstetler of Goshen, Michael (Inez) Hochstetler of Elkhart; three daughters, Deb (Marion) Lehman of Goshen, Peg Miller and Janet German both of White Pigeon, MI; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; the father of her children, Marvin Hochstetler of Goshen; five brothers, Andrew (Beverly) Miller of Bloomfield, IA, Lonnie Miller of Mattoon, IL, Allen (Fannie) Miller of Shipshewana, Ervin (Nancy) Miller of Arcola, IL, Howard (Betty) Miller of Arcola, IL; two sisters, Clara (Mahlon) Beachy of Millersburg, Betty (Eldon) Chupp of Arthur, IL; sister-in-law, Clara Miller of Arthur, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Erma Hochstetler and a brother, Melvin Miller. Lorraine was a homemaker and had worked for 25 years for Pro Design before retiring in 2018. She enjoyed baking, gardening, canning, and putting together jigsaw puzzles. She had attended New Life Christian Center. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 4:00 and 5:00 - 8:00 pm on Monday, July 19, at Fairhaven Mennonite Church. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Tuesday, July 20, also at the church. Services will be conducted by Pastor Mel Shetler. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be given to Riley's Children's Hospital.
