Lorene Miller, 69, of Shipshewana, died at 7:15 pm on Saturday, April 30, at Life Care Center, LaGrange. She was born on September 8, 1952 in LaGrange, to Lester and Mary Alice (Miller) Hochstetler. On October 24, 1974 in Shipshewana, she married Chris B. Miller, he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband are three sons, Dean (Esther) Miller of Shipshewana, Eugene (Leona) Miller of Shipshewana, Maynard (Shay Anne) Miller of Goshen; two daughters, Mary Lou (Arlen) Hochstetler of Goshen, Waneta (Steve) Chupp of Bristol; 21 grandchildren; four brothers, Mervin Hochstetler of Shipshewana, Pete (Monica) Hochstetler of Wolcottville, Ernest (Linda) Hochstetler of Goshen, Lester, Jr. (Shelly) Hochstetler of Peoria, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Anna Grace Miller; and a brother, Lloyd Ray Hochstetler. Lorene was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Monday, May 2, and all day Tuesday, May 3, at the Eugene Miller residence, 8490 W. 050 N., Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Wednesday, May 4, at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Lyle Yoder and the home ministers. Burial will be in Nisley Family Cemetery, located on the family’s homestead in Shipshewana.
