Harry A. Yoder

Harry A. Yoder, 87, of Middlebury, died at 5:50 pm on Monday, November 8 at Courtyard of Goshen. He was born on January 8, 1934, in LaGrange, to Albert and Saloma (Troyer) Yoder. On August 11, 1957, in White Pigeon, Michigan, he married Mary Ellen Miller; she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are three daughters, Carol (Paul) Kauffman of Bristol, Joyce (Robert) Yoder of Shipshewana, Elaine (Brent) Mast of Sugarcreek, OH; son, Duane (Michelle) Yoder of Marengo, OH; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Yoder of Hutchinson, KS; two brothers-in law, Crist Yoder of Hutchinson, KS, Ora Miller of Topeka; sister-in-law, Vera Yoder of Hutchinson, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mae Yoder, Catherine Miller; three brothers, Thomas Yoder, Melvin Yoder, Mervin Yoder. Harry was a member of Roselawn Conservative Mennonite Church and served as Pastor for 25+ years. He was a mechanic and owner/operator of Harry's Garage for 22 years. He served on the Rosedale Mennonite Mission Board for seven years, was the past President of CAM Mutual Aid, and was instrumental in facilitating the vision of Menno-Hof. Harry also served on the Clinton Christian School Board of Directors, on MDS programs and served his 1-W service in Mt. Pleasant, IA. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 11 at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street, Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, November 12 at Roselawn Conservative Mennonite Church, 206 Mill Street, Middlebury. Services will be conducted by Pastors Thad Lechlitner, Troy Brubacher, and Curtis Stutzman. Burial will be in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury. Memorials may be given to Christian Aid Ministries.
