Eleanor L. Guenin, 81, of Topeka, passed away at 4:10 pm on Friday, July 16, at Avalon Village Nursing Care, Ligonier. She was born on November 6, 1939 in Souderton, PA, to Mahlon and Edna (Lapp) Detweiler. On April 6, 2010 in Clinton Frame Church she married Walt Guenin, he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband are 10 stepchildren; five step grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Bernice (Clarence) Whirledge of Middlebury; two brothers, Walter (Gladys) Detweiler and Darwin Detweiler both of Souderton, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two sisters, Lorraine L. Mast and Gloria Waleyewski. Eleanor had worked as a seamstress at Carriage, Millersburg for many years. She was a member of Clinton Frame Church and enjoyed listening to Christian music. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and watching birds. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 3:00 pm on Saturday July 24, at Clinton Frame Church, 63846 CR 35 Goshen. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Eden Cemetery, Topeka.
