Edna T. Schmucker, 82, of Middlebury, formerly of Goshen, passed away peacefully at 11:41 am on Monday, May 23, at Avalon Village Nursing Care, Ligonier, after a 10 day stay. She was born on October 13, 1939 in Kokomo to Tobias and Bertha (Gingrich) Miller. On November 12, 1959, in Kokomo, she married Jacob Schmucker, he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband are two sons, Richard (Melanie) Schmucker, and Marvin (Shawna) Schmucker all of Middlebury; two daughters, Darla Groff of Thief River Falls, MN, and Mary (John) Mast of New Paris; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Lester (Norma) Miller of Kokomo; two half-sisters, Rosanna (Wes) Bontrager of Sarasota, FL, and Esther (Joe) Miller of Kokomo. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lloyd Miller; three sisters, Martha Miller, Viola Miller, and Wilma Satchwell; two half-sisters, Rachel Miller, and Elnora Miller; a half-brother, Eugene Miller. Was a homemaker and had worked at Farm and Fleet in Goshen for over 10 years. She had also worked for several years at the Shipshewana Flea Market selling women's clothing. Her and her husband enjoyed camping, riding motorcycle together and they had wintered in Florida for 22 years. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 26, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, May 27, also at the funeral home. Services will be conducted by Pastor Mitch Moser. Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery, Goshen.
