Charles K. Lee, 79, of Middlebury, died at 11:15 am on Monday, November 8 at his residence. He was born on March 25, 1942, in Johnstown, PA, to James G. and Janietta (Stewart) Lee. Survivors are his wife, Darla (Boozer) Lee of Middlebury; two sons, Charles K. Lee, Jr. of Bristol, Michael E. (Amy) Lee of Middlebury; daughter, Tammy Watson of Elkhart; six grandchildren, Andrew Watson, Jonathan Watson, Steven Fair, Peter Fair, Molly Lee, Zachary Lee; brother, Dan Lee of Broadview Heights, OH; four sisters, Rachel Budzina of Johnstown, PA, Margaret Smay of Mineral Point, PA, Betty Vonau of Phoenix, AZ, Vickie Allen of Johnstown, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Matthew Watson; two brothers, Jim and Bill Lee; two sisters, Judy Long, and Sally Dunbar. Charles was a US Navy veteran who received a Blue Nose Certificate for serving in the Artic Circle aboard the USS Tanner. He worked in shipping and receiving at Atlas Steel Rule Die and retired from the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department as a Work Release Officer. Family and friends will gather at 2:45 pm on Wednesday, November 10 for a graveside service at Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury. Services will be conducted by Chaplain Lois Tamayo.
