Carolyn V. Miller, 82, of Middlebury, died at 6:43 am, on Thursday, October 7, at Parkview LaGrange Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on July 4, 1939 in Middlebury to Oscar and Kathryn "Kate" (Bontrager) Yoder. On March 20, 1960 in Middlebury she married Stanley Miller, he died October 4, 2020. Surviving are three daughters, Vi (Doug) Delagrange of Grabill, Monica (Kevin) Gingerich of Woodburn, Bonnie (Joshua) Roth of Monroeville; three sons, Cliff (Cheryl) Miller of Middlebury, Loren Miller of Middlebury, Jeremy (Tracy) Slabach of Fort Wayne; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Orvan (Elnora) Yoder of Middlebury. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Irvin Yoder and Marvin Yoder; sister, Evelyn Slabach. Carolyn was a homemaker and a member of Siloam Fellowship, Goshen. She and her husband were owners and operators of The Eat'n Haus Restaurant in Spencerville, IN; they were also Sunday School leaders for several years where they were known for planning many activities. She enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles. She was known as a very social person often enjoying breakfast out with her family and friends. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 12, at Siloam Fellowship, 61616 Co Rd 35 Goshen. A private graveside service will be held prior to the 1:30 pm memorial service on Wednesday, October 13, also at the church. Services will be conducted by Pastor Vern Hostetler. Burial will be in Miller 8 Square Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be given to Wycliffe Bible Translators. Online condolences may be offered at millerstewartfuneralhome.com.
