Calvin H. Yoder, 75, of Topeka, died at 2:55 pm on Tuesday, September 21, at his daughter's residence in Millersburg. He was born on June 5, 1946, in Goshen, to Henry A. and Mary N. (Miller) Yoder. On February 17, 1966, in Millersburg, he married Wilma J. Byler, she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are four daughters, Leona (Dennis) Troyer of Millersburg, Kathryn (Mervin) Schlabach of Shipshewana, Linda (Myron) Slabach of Millersburg, Rose (Perry, Jr.) Yutzy of Howe; eight sons, Earl (Loretta) Yoder of Millersburg, Danny (Marilyn) Yoder of Topeka, Ervin (Vonda) Yoder, Larry (Loretta) Yoder, Verlin (Nadine) Yoder, Glen (Erma) Yoder all of Millersburg, Calvin, Jr. (Laura) Yoder of Topeka, John (Ada) Yoder of Shipshewana; 75 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruby (Calvin) Wingard of Goshen, Mary Esther (Orva) Miller of Shipshewana, Elnora (Ray) Schlabach of Topeka; seven brothers, David (Mary Ellen) Yoder of Goshen, Amos (Carolyn) Yoder of Shipshewana, Henry, Jr. (Ruby) Yoder, Mervin (Vera) Yoder both of Goshen, Melvin (Etta Fern) Yoder of Shipshewana, Marvin (Etta Fern) Yoder of Goshen, Orla (Erma) Yoder of Millersburg; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Yoder of Topeka; brother-in-law, Levi Lee (Ada) Beachy of Shipshewana. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ernie Yoder; sister, Lorene Beachy; brother, Glen Yoder. Calvin was a carpenter and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 23 and all day Friday, September 24 at the Danny Yoder residence, 9755 W. 600 S., Topeka. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Saturday, September 25 also at the Danny Yoder residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop LaVern Lambright and the home ministers. Burial will be in Christner Cemetery, Topeka.
