Amanda Lynn Taylor, 46, of Riley, KS, died at 11:35 pm on Friday, July 2, at her parent’s residence in Bristol, following a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born on May 4, 1975, in Trenton, MI, to Johnny and Jessica (Hampton) Drake. On December 27, 1999, in Goshen, she married Kenneth Taylor; he survives in Riley, KS. Survivors in addition to her husband are daughter, Ashley Faye Taylor at home; two sisters, Jessica Alaniz of Bristol, Serena Drake of Middlebury; three brothers, Robert (Zoila) Drake of Chesterfield, VA, Michael Alaniz of Elkhart, William Hampton of Bristol; 12 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Miguel Alaniz. Amanda worked at McCall Patterns in the Traffic department loading semis at the dock. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years. Amanda dearly loved her many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Friday, July 9 at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street, Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 10 also at the funeral home. Services will be conducted by Pastor Ken Hunn. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Bristol. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for Amanda’s daughter Ashley.
