Yost M. Hochstetler
    Yost M. Hochstetler, 88, of Middlebury, died at 3:20 am, on Tuesday, February 14, at his residence. He had been in failing
    health since December 2011. He was born on October 29, 1923, in Sumner County, KS, to Yost A. and Mattie (Miller)
    Hochstetler. On October 28, 1947 in Independence, IA he married Gertie Garver; she died November 8, 2011. Surviving are
    four daughters, Susie (Andy) Gingerich of New Paris, Lydia Hanson of Carpentersville, IL, Esther (Melvin) Yoder of
    Hillpoint, WI, Martha (Delbert) Beechy of Middlebury; two sons, Harvey (Lydia) Hochstetler of Colon, MI, Andrew (Sonia)
    Hochstetler of Sherrard, IL; two sons-in-law, Menno Borntrager and John Hershberger both of WI; 30 grandchildren, 49
    great grandchildren, one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, both parents, two daughters,
    Emma and Mary, six brothers, John, Jacob, Eli, William, Samuel and Harvey Hochstetler, four sisters, Elizabeth Hochstetler,
    Fannie Borntrager, Barbara Borntreger and Lovina Mast. He was a member and retired Deacon of the Old Order Amish
    Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Wednesday February 15, and after 10:00 am on Thursday February 16, at the
    Dave Schmucker residence, 58775 CR 37, Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Friday February 17, also at the
    Dave Schmucker residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Keith Helmuth and the home ministers. Burial will be in
    Miller Cemetery, Goshen.



    Katie J. Hochstetler
    Katie J. Hochstetler, 93, of Topeka, died at 8:40 pm, on Friday, February 10, 2012 at her son, Ivan Hochstetler’s residence
    in Topeka.  She was born on June 22, 1918, in LaGrange County, to John and Ida (Beachy) Eash. On February 13, 1941 she
    married Daniel A. Hochstetler, he died March 31, 2011. Surviving are four daughters: Ida Anna (Amos J.) Miller of Topeka,
    Mary Ellen (Ezra) Yoder of Shipshewana, Barbara Troyer of Shipshewana, Lena (Paul) Helmuth of Carthage, MO; two sons:
    Ivan (Polly Anna) Hochstetler of Topeka, Albert (Esther) Hochstetler of Topeka; 25 grandchildren, 133 great grandchildren,
    15 great great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 16 step great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law: Polly Eash of
    Shipshewana, Wilma Eash of Shipshewana, Susie Fry of Topeka, Mary Bontrager of Topeka. She was preceded in death by
    her parents, husband, brothers, Levi Eash, Tobe Eash, Lewis Eash, Neal Eash, Eli Eash; sisters, Lena Bontrager and Lucy
    Eash, Fannie Frey, Esther Bontrager; son-in-law, Elmer Troyer; granddaughter, Lena Beachy, two stillborn great
    grandchildren. She was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church. She had a scribe for The Budget for 55
    years. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Saturday and all day Sunday at Albert Hochstetler residence, 4900 West 400 South
    Topeka. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Monday February 13, 2012 at the same residence. Services will be
    conducted by Bishop Elva Lambright and the home ministers. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, LaGrange.


    Eva "Irene" Parks
    Eva "Irene" Parks, 74, of Syracuse, died at 7:25 pm on Wednesday, February 8, at her residence.  She was born on August
    24, 1937 in Wabash County, to Fred and Nora (Baker) Chapman.  On December 23, 1954 in Marion she married Pat T. Parks,
    he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband are three daughters, Cindy (David) Cline of Syracuse, Sally (Joseph)
    Mink of Wawaka, Patsy (Van Lantz) Parks-Lantz of Syracuse; nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, several step
    grandchildren & great grandchildren; sister, Mary Kay Howard of Marion. She was preceded in death by her parents,
    brother, James Chapman, great grandson, Kaizer Davidson. She graduated in 1955 from Somerset High School and was an
    avid gardener and enjoyed her yard, home and family. She made each and every one of her family feel as if they were
    much loved by her, including her many nieces and nephews. She was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post 1342,
    Syracuse. She was a homemaker and had worked at Maple Leaf Feed Mill, Syracuse and for different area retail
    businesses in Wabash. Private family services will be held. Memorials may be given to the VFW Post 1342, Ladies Auxiliary
    Cancer Fund, 307 W. Chicago, Syracuse, IN 46567.



    Ada Nisley
    Ada Nisley, 85, of Goshen, died at 4:05 pm on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at her residence.  She was born on February 7,
    1926 in Shipshewana, to Daniel and Katie (Hochstetler) Graber. On March 23, 1948 in Shipshewana she married Ora J.
    Nisley, he died August 8, 2007. Surviving are eight sons, Mervin (Linda) Nisley of Bristol, Larry (Jennifer) Nisley of
    Evansville, LaVern (Kathy) Nisley of Goshen, Ora, Jr. (Irene) Nisley of Topeka, Elroy (LorEtta) Nisley of Goshen, Marlin
    (Elma Sue) Nisley of Millersburg, Marion (Ruby) Nisley of Goshen, Vernon (Katie) Nisley of Ligonier; three daughters, Elsie
    Fern (Sam) Bontrager of Hillsboro, WI, LeAnna (Samuel) Bontrager of Topeka, Miriam (LaVerne) Bontrager of Shipshewana;
    72 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; brother, John (Betty) Graber of Middlebury; two sisters, Anna Lambright of
    Shipshewana, Fannie (Melvin) Mast of Shipshewana. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two stillborn
    grandchildren; brothers, Levi, Sam, Melvin, Milo and Tobe Graber; sister, Lizzie Schrock. She was a homemaker and a
    member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Sunday all day Monday at Family’s Residence,
    64213 State Road 13 Goshen. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Tuesday February 7, 2012 at Elroy Nisley residence,
    62805 State Road 13 Goshen.  Services will be conducted by Bishop Ernest Schrock and the home ministers. Burial will be
    in Clinton Brick Cemetery, Goshen.


    Susan L. Yoder
    Susan L. Yoder, infant daughter of Lonnie J. and Christine (Wickey) Yoder of Howe, was stillborn at 10:00 PM on Monday,
    January 30. Survivors in addition to her parents are two sisters, Rosemary and Dorene Yoder both at home; grandparents,
    Jimmy & Mary Etta Yoder of Hillsboro, WI, Christine Wickey of Lagrange, great grandparents Lonnie & Clara Yoder of MO,
    Menno & Mary Schwartz of Lagrange, Polly Anna Otto of Lagrange County.  She was preceded in death by her grandfather,
    Ervin Wickey. A graveside service will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 1, at Mast Cemetery, Middlebury. Services
    will be conducted by Bishop Perry Whetstone.


    S. Beatrice  Krider
    Beatrice  Krider, 97, of Goshen, formerly of Middlebury, died at 3:00 AM, on Monday, January 23, at Greencroft Health Care
    Center, Goshen. She was born on February 19, 1914,  in Middlebury, to Vernon  and Erma (Artley) Krider. Surviving is a
    sister, Violet Krider of Goshen. She was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters and a brother. She was a member of
    St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Middlebury, a 1931 graduate of Middlebury High School and had helped run the family
    business, Krider's Nursery, Middlebury for several years. The family will hold a private graveside service. Burial will be in
    Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury.
